3/4 cup Evaporated Milk
Cream margarine and sugar together.
Add Egg and Almond extract. Beat well.
Add Milk and Gumdrops. Mix in well.
Sift Flour, Salt and Baking powder into batter. Beat Well.
Spoon mixture into greased and floured 9" x 9" pan or Bundt pan.
Bake @ 350° for approx 30 - 35 minutes. (Time depends on your oven).
Cool on rack for 10 - 15 minutes, Remove from pan.
be served as is or, add a dusting of icing sugar or, an Almond flavored glaze.
* Note: If you can't find baking Gumdrops you can use regular gumdrops. Slice into 4's using scissors dipped in hot water. (CAUTION: remove all the Black gumdrops first. If they are left in the batter they will turn the batter black).
This is a lot more work --- but you get to eat all the black ones!!!Return to Recipes Page
